The House-Palace consisted of two plants
with four stays each one, around an inner
patio; the rooms of the emperor, located
next to the choir of the Church, allowed him
to attend the offices from the dormitory,
seated in their bunk, where he remained
seated, due to the serious affection of drop
that suffered. Finally, the 21 of September
of 1588, died the emperor Carlos V in whom
she was his last mulberry one. It was buried
in the Church for, later, being transferred
his rest to the real pantheon of the
Monastery of San Lorenzo of the Dump
(Madrid). In the middle of the present
century (1949), the Main directorate of
Beautiful Arts initiated the reconstruction
of the monastery, trying to respect to the
maximum the original design and projects,
thus recreating one of the most important
enclaves by its historical and artistic
meaning. At the moment it is the seat of the
Foundation European Academy of Yuste. |
